I heard on the news that a man credited with the improvements to the New
York underground would be tasked with improving London's. I hope this
man has nothing to do with a company called Cubic. New York's Village
Voice newspaper has a article on the real costs ($390,000,000 for
tickets alone): http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0041/friedman.shtml
and a popular web site called SlashDot has some suggestions to prevent
such costs: http://slashdot.org/articles/00/10/14/1337249.shtml . The
second web page is technical, but I am available to explain in detail;
in person, if required.

You probably have a good point, and I shall enjoy reading these pages.
However I cannot pass this to the mayor (Ken Livingstone) as this is not the
right organisation. (You need the GLA).
Thanks,
Postmaster.
